Pittsville Area Community Theater

“I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.”

~Oscar Wilde

Our Mission

Pittsville Area Community Theater is
a nonprofit organization formed in 2003.

PACT’s continuing goal is to promote a summer production that offers area community members the opportunity to participate in live theater, thereby giving youth and adults an outlet for creative expression. PACT also strives to promote the arts and provide high-quality entertainment in the Central Wisconsin area.

Our Vision

Those involved in PACT believe that through the collaborative efforts of many dedicated volunteers, both on and off the stage, our community is strengthened and our quality of life is enriched.

Cultivating Community

PACT members believe that theater and the arts are an important part of our community and make it a goal to educate its members. PACT has conducted theater workshops that have focused on acting and technical theater production.

PACT has open and inclusive casting practices that foster new relationships.

Hosted at St. Paul’s Church in Marshfield, PACT has created Impact Improv, which occurs on select days and is both free to attend and open to all community members.

Promoting
Education

PACT recognizes students who have made a contribution to the local arts by offering a scholarship to a graduating senior from the Pittsville area who has been involved in drama.

2025’s scholarship winner was Cayden Rayburn.

In 2026 PACT partnered with Pittsville School District to upgrade the auditorium sound equipment, and brought A Christmas Carol to the stage in Winter 2024. PACT is bringing Winnie the Pooh to the stage in Spring 2026.

Regional
Partnerships

Since its beginning, PACT has seen growth and positive recognition throughout Central Wisconsin.

PACT has been able to support productions with other theatre groups including Campus Community Players (CCP), Marshfield Area Actors (MAA), Wausau Community Theatre (WCT), Central Wisconsin Children’s Theatre (CWCT), and the Central Wisconsin Educational Theatre Alliance (CWETA). We are proud to be part of a strong regional tradition of artists.

Supporting Great Causes

In March of 2009, PACT co-sponsored the Marshfield Area Actors production of the musical Grease in Pittsville. The event was sold out for all four performances and provided a substantial five-figure donation to the Children’s Miracle Network.

In 2025 PACT financially contributed to the return of the summer Missoula Fireside Children’s Theatre, bringing the program back for the first time since COVID.

In 2025 PACT financially contributed to the new all-accessible Griese Park playground complex in Marshfield, supporting families of all kinds.
